Lyrics
Sins of the flesh
Sins undressed
Sins in my mind
Sins are unkind
Sins make you lonely
Sins make you sad
Sins unforgiven
Sins caressed
Sins unblessed
Sins make you a slave
Make you feel ashamed
Sins make you a prisoner
Trapped in the prism of life
Lower states of existence
Higher states of resistance
Ending towards death
You feel so bogged-down
You spin round and round
End-up in a mess
You can't get dressed
Then you die
With sins on your mind
Sins of the flesh
That put you
In a mess
Sins of the mind
Wear you down
And feel so unkind
All these sins
Are putting you
In a mess
All these sins
Are leaving you
Undressed
This is London City
With bright lights
Lots of cars, out at night
With women dressed in
Nothing more than knickers 'n' bras
Yes, Brother
Yes, Brother
I'm from London City
Southeast to be precise
Walking down the road
Seeing drunks and drugs
Being passed around
Litter cluttering-up the streets
Making my neighbourhood look unclean
I'm not gonna tell you what drink and drugs
Has done to London City
I'm sure your city is suffering
Do we have to be on drink and drugs?
To be cool or fashionable
I don't think so!
What you see
Is how it looks
People banging on 10 Downing Street
Asking, “Where's all the money been spent?”
On those dodgy crooks
In the government
The politicians cavorting with their prostitutes
Snorting lines of coke
Making sure the white powder
Is off their coats
Seeing graffiti
Where it shouldn't be
Making the area look unclean
Vandalised buses roam the streets
Passengers have to seat on dirty seats
The tube trains packed with commuters
Being treated worse than cattle
London City is my city
What is my city?
LONDON!!!!
London City
London Town
London Town
London City
Rushing all around
Crazy things happen
Different races and cultures
Clashing on the streets
Alcohol fuelling negativity
Drugs making people high
Drunks drowning in The River Thames
People fishing in the dead of night
Yes, Brother
Yes, Brother
London City is my city
What is my city?
LONDON!!!!
There are things to be proud of London City
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
Who are you?
I'm Buzza
What do you mean?
I buzz around
Dodging the bill
Burning up
Rounding Down
Over the hedges
With my pound of flesh
Do you buzz like a bee?
Buzz, Buzz
No, I buzz like a Buzza
I'm Buzza
Your favourite kind of guy
No, I don't sting like a bee, wasp, or hornet for that matter
I'm your friendly neighbour
Up in the sky
Buzz, Buzz
Knocking on the door
Buzz, Buzz
What for?
Buzz, Buzz
What are you doing here?
The fuzz is around the corner
They don't like me buzzing around
Buzz, Buzz
Running up
Burning down
Buzz, Buzz
I'll stay here for a bit
Don't mind, do you?
Buzz, Buzz
It must be easier
To be a buzzard
Instead of being a Buzza
No, No!
Buzz, Buzz
No, No!
Repeat
Buzz, Buzz
Stepping out of my friend's house
Buzzing down the road
Then the fuzz pulled up behind me
Then I got Buzzard
We've all got crosses to bare
We've all got mistakes unshared
We've all got things hidden and unburnt
We've all got things regretted
We've all got things unashamed to admit
Where does that leave us?
Alive on the same planet
To deal with things that we transgressed
To cope with sins that we shared
To heal us all of the things that tortured both parties
That tortured both parties
Because we are all God's children
We've all got a point of view
We've all got opinions of you
We've all got to stay strong
Stand upright
Don't waver
We've all got lightbulb moments in our minds
We've all got ambitions and dreams
We've all got positives, negatives, and well-balanced neutrons
We've all got common sense
If only we can use it!
If only we could use it!
If only we use it!
We've all got the ability to judge
But we never judge ourselves the way we judge you
Because we don't want to be reminded of you
We've all got crosses to bare
We've all got thoughts unsaid
We've all got things undeclared
We've all got crosses to bare
We've all got unprecedented moments of trauma in our lives
That hinder us
Creates misery and unhappiness
We've all got crosses to bare
We've all got crosses to bare
We are all God's children!
Repeat
The world is on the rails
The world is on the rails
The stock market crashed
Trying not to drown
Fearing their jobs lost
The economy going down
The world is on the rails
The rails have fallen down
The Twin Towers have tumbled down
Share prices have gone down
The Banks are not at a loss
People's lives have been lost
Scattered minds
Scattered bones
Cluttered offices with devalued paper notes
Nothing real
Just fake
Wanna jump in a lake
To help take the heat off
Be forgotten
But not loved
Be forgiven
So, you're not hated
The world is on the rails
The rails have fallen down
Until the world is in a better state of affairs
Can't look at the evil that stares
At Mankind every second of everyday
Until the path and (road to hatred has passed) hatred has passed
And gone away forever
The world is on the rails
The rails have fallen down
(Repeat to fade)
Middle class culture
It will waste you
Narrow minded views
Open-up those delicate eyes
See life
Breathe fresh air
In the beautiful countryside
Gain knowledge
Through life
That you see through your eyes
How people survive
Throughout the world
Don't waste your senses
Unfair societies
Unfair rulers
In an unfair world
Tell people what they want to hear
Show people what they ought to see
A book is not just its cover
It has chapters
As the reader will discover
The lives of lies
Don't make me write
Another chapter
Why?
Because I may be right!
Propaganda tells us lies
We lose our senses
Making us puppets
Slaves of the fake iron fire place
Where the wheels of the world burn
Take us the ashes
When its chewed and took it all away
See the latest crazy
Homeless living on the street
Signs written from the mud off the road
The crazy has past this world
Will all of you lovely middle class pay for the morgue and a service that no-one will attend
Middle Class culture
Will numb your senses
And blind your eyes
The Fool
Crazy like you
Look at yourself
Like you look at myself
Take my head-off
Rip my flesh out
Let vampire blood flow
Pull me from inside
Replace me with something else
Try?
Why?
Take my hand
Check out my palms
Live beyond your life span
Expectantly
Exceptionally
Build of smoke
Into your field of face
Waterfall mist
White cliffs of Dover
Sea beating upon the pebbles
I must be crazy
I never wanted to be normal
Spiritualisation
Indian way of life
Growing-up with roses
Round my head
Petals falling on my neck
Sitting opposite you
Peace and making romantic gestures at you
Am I being sincere?
Of course, dear
When my body is used
My spirit not abused
I will ascend to a world
Where evil does not exist
We say things go trip-hop
Then they go pop!
With our laid-back attitude
We live in the urban
But not as far as suburban
With the ghetto life
We're packed-in too tight
For what we like
We want our Freedom!
We want it now!
We want our Freedom!
We want it now!
Trippin' with the Hop!
Then things go pop!
We live in the urban life
We've got to be intelligent
Not ignorant of our environment
Don't be selfish
Think of you're fellow Human Being
Instead of thinking about number one
Trippin' with the hop
Then things go pop!
Repeat!
Be outspoken
Express your point of views
Show respect
Of your view
Trip-hop don't stop!
Repeat!
We want our Freedom
Not more years of boredom
We are tired of our ghetto life
As the lines are showing under our eyes
We say thinks go trip-hop
Then they go pop!
Trip-hop don't stop!
Repeat to fade
A Real Man
Goes out to work
Provides for his family
A Real Man
Is thoughtful and respectful
A Real Man
Has patience and tolerance
A Real Man
Will go quiet
Until he works things out
A Real Man
Don't do crime
Chooses life
To set a good example
And be ample with kindness
And be the Lord of his Kingdom
Yeah, life is tough
But you didn't learn that at school
Why, because it's something you must learn while navigating your purpose in life
Yes, hard work sometimes doesn't pay but it's better than looking over your shoulder, the other way
Or thinking of the police
Getting into trouble is easy but staying straight is the hardest
A Real Man
Is a pillar of the community
Correct and Righteous
Standing with power and responsibility
Coupled with respect
Because a Real Man is the best!
If you want to become a Real Man
You can become a Real Man
Just needs a little bit of training
To become the best of the best, of you!
Even when you're resting your presence is overpowering
But not overwhelming the people around you
Because you're certain of your abilities
You're well-groomed of your sensibilities
Surviving the best
In your life starting Westwood
Even if you go Eastwood, Southwood, or even Northwood
You bring people inwards
Shaking hands in peacefulness
Bringing the best out in humanity
This is a Real Man
Come and join the movement
A Real Man
Is a Real Man
Repeat to fade out
Lines of abuse on the homeless face
Greasy hair
Missing teeth
Pores blocked
Of filth and dirt
From pollutes of the day
While pollen drifts across cardboard city
Chattering in winters dawn
Bag lady soaked in the rain
Tramps shaking the blues away
Begging bowl goes unnoticed
Fills up with the leaves of the beginning of autumn
Snow drops on the tips of the homeless frozen nose
Cold drizzle cuts right through to the core of the bones
Mental despair of the disappeared
The homeless are invisible to society
The homeless are undesirable in society
Wondering the streets
With no purpose in sight
Greasy hair
Unclean skin
Pores blocked with grit and dirt
From the streets of the city
Welfare money
Don't last with smoke and beer
Or gambling of blackjack and cards
Homeless women selling precious
While their pimps are smoking their earnings on joints
Thus homeless
Rotten teeth
Frizzled mind
Cannot see straight
Doesn't matter cos I'm Homeless in my Youth
Rats jumping out of the sewer
To feed on the homeless
Flies feeding off wasteful matter from the doorways
The homeless and the foxes
Sharing crumbs out of the rubbish bin
Mental illness
Alcohol, drugs even the penitentiary is our way of abusing the homeless
Homeless
Homeless in my Youth
Frustrated
With this way of life
Repeat to fade
Interesting people I met
While I had no roof over my head
No money
No threads
Dreaded rainy days
Stuck in homeless hostels
But still hungry
Homeless
Homeless in my Youth
Frustrated
With this way of life
Repeat to fade
The welfare payment
Only lasts for an hour
Drinking is the only thing
You crave for
While others abuse medical and other substances
To pass the time
With no hope
Of a better chance
For a brighter future
Homeless
Homeless in my Youth
Frustrated
With this way of life
Repeat to fade
People drop like flies
Being hit by frozen drops
People in society
Do not see you
But only see the glitter of shop lights
Spending money on delights
Homeless
Homeless in my Youth
Frustrated
With this way of life
Repeat to fade
Behind each song
Sins
The harsh reality is that we've all got them and we've all committed them, and this song deals with this reality, and why there is so much pain within us and within the world.
London City
Growing up in my capital city of London and things I saw and experiences, which I had to navigate throughout my early years and has served me well in living a better life.
Buzza
Our lovable bee rogue getting up to his tricks and skills in trying to evade the fuzz!
We've All Got...
A similar themed song to Sins this is also what we've got in common - making mistakes, and hopefully we learn from them and try and live a more constructive healthy life.
The World is on the Rails
Believe it or not, this is quite an old song and yet in recent years it is still relevant with conflict, war, economic upheaval, people not trusting one another in this at times chaotic world we live in.
Culture
The different classes oppose each other, while have a suppressing element to them at the same time.
Crazy Fool
Those that deemed eccentric are often deemed too crazy, and this song deals with that and the final end of having no-one turn up to the funeral once the eccentric person has passed away into the afterlife.
Trippin' with the Hop
Quite a rap/trip-hop influenced tune, deals with life and the frustration of being put into ghettoes and having freedoms and rights suppressed or taken away.
Real Man
With all of the qualities of what makes a man is in this song, and hopefully it is helpful to those that are blessed to listen to it.
Homeless in my Youth
Yes, I was homeless several times in my younger days, and this is a raw take on what happens within this, sometimes unseen part of society.
The whole album was programmed using Cubase and various plug-in instruments of drums, percussions, keyboards, synthesizers, and using effects to make the sounds more interesting or helping to set the sonic mood to convey the song's message more effectively.
